Gastric Banding Surgery, or Adjustable Gastric Banding, is a restrictive weight loss surgery that places a band around your stomach to facilitate weight loss. Gastric banding is better known under the brand names Lap-Band System and REALIZE System, both are adjustable bands aimed to keep the patient fuller faster, thus inducing weight loss.
